The VET Pact project concluded with its final meeting and conference in Cristuru Secuiesc, Romania, from December 2 to 5, 2024. Hosted by the Youth Association from Transylvania (ATA), the coordinators of the VET Pact project, the event brought together two coordinators from each partner country to reflect on the project’s achievements and share its results with a wider audience.
After participants arrived in Cristuru Secuiesc and were welcomed by the organizing team, the first official session was the discovery of the offices and projects of ATA. Then the meeting plan was introduced and provided an overview of the project’s final phase and deadlines. The evening was dedicated to informal networking, allowing participants to reconnect and discuss their expectations for the coming days.
The morning of the second day began with a visit to Zeyk Domokos VET School, where participants had the opportunity to observe vocational education in Romania in practice and exchange experiences with local educators. This was followed by a review of the project’s achievements, where coordinators discussed the impact of the developed curriculum, training sessions, and transformative learning methodologies. After lunch, the financial aspects and final reporting requirements were addressed. The day concluded with free time, allowing attendees to explore Cristuru Secuiesc and reflect on the project’s journey.
The main event of the final meeting, the VET Pact Conference, took place throughout the day. This conference served as a platform to showcase the project’s key outputs, including best practices, research findings, and methodologies developed over the two years of collaboration. Coordinators evaluated the overall project impact and discussed possibilities for future cooperation.
As the last official activity of the VET Pact project, the meeting in Cristuru Secuiesc ensured that the knowledge and experiences gained throughout the project would continue to benefit vocational education institutions beyond its official duration. With inspiring discussions and a sense of accomplishment, the VET Pact partners bid farewell, committed to further advancing transformative learning in VET.
