In the VET PACT project there are six partner organisations and four affiliated partners. This list comprises of NGOs, foundations, and VET schools from six different countries, namely Argentina, Columbia, El Salvador, Hungary, Romania and Spain. The main objective of the project is to enhance the quality, perception and capabilities of VET education providers, while empowering VET learners through the implementation of Transformative Learning.
Over a period of 24 months, the project partners develop a curriculum catering to approximately 1800 VET learners and develop a training module specifically targeting 180 VET educators. This module aims to emphasize the significance of enhancing soft skills and key competencies, encompassing entrepreneurship, digital practices, and green initiatives that support environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
The adoption of a Transformative Learning approach and applied methods serve as a valuable instrument for VET providers to endorse essential skills, such as task-oriented problem solving, cause-and-effect analysis, critical thinking, and effective communication of emotions, needs, and aspirations. These skills, although crucial, often remain underappreciated. Additionally, this approach will further augment the employability prospects of VET learners.
To do all this, initially, the project partners conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current state of VET education in the respective partner countries. This mapping exercise aims to explore and identify teaching activities, policies regarding VET education, and best practices that contribute to the current reality in the six partner countries. By the conclusion of the research phase, a collection of good practices will be compiled from all partner countries, as well as concrete data on the reality of VET education. These best practices and data will be analysed and discussed. Expert groups, comprising key stakeholders, will be established for this purpose. The expert group has the role to strengthen the relationship between VET institutions and the labour market.
International meetings and conferences will provide opportunities for the dissemination of the knowledge collected during the project’s lifetime. This allows interested parties to familiarize themselves with the methods, materials, and research findings of the project. The educational resources will be made available in four languages (English, Hungarian, Romanian, Spanish) through the project website, EACEA, and Moodle platforms. This accessibility will enable a wide range of individuals to find and use all materials created during the project.
