Name: Escuela Profesional Xavier Country: Spain Location: Valencia Type of Organization: Vocational Education School
The Javeriana Institution established its presence in Valencia in 1957. In the academic year of 1958-59, it launched the School of Social Assistants and the “Instituto Social de la Mujer”, offering a Baccalaureate in Administrative Work, along with classes in housework, general culture, typing, shorthand, cookery, and dressmaking, thereby aiding women’s entry into the workforce.
In 1968, it relocated to its current premises at 8 Pintor López Street. By 1971, it had introduced Administrative and Health specialities with official qualifications. In 1987, it transitioned from “Instituto Social de la Mujer” to the “Escuela Profesional Xavier” to embrace coeducation under the LODE and become a mixed centre.
Since 1971, we have offered Vocational Training in administrative and health sectors, adapting to the prevailing legislation and catering to the needs of thousands of young individuals seeking personal and professional growth through education.
In 2019, the Javeriana Institution established the Javeriana Foundation to ensure continuity and stability of its training project across Spain.
As a VET provider with extensive experience, we contribute by offering VET teachers and students to test all project materials.
Our school staff, including teachers, trainers, facilitators, and researchers, bring their expertise in product creation, research, and best practice provision, offering non-formal education methods and techniques to VET learners.
We support research work and facilitate the involvement of other entities through our local network of contacts.
